I live in Amsterdam, and for as long as I can remember, music has been the soundtrack of my life. I have always been a passionate music lover and a VideoDJ, spending countless hours surrounded by records, visuals, and the energy that music creates when it brings people together. Out of all the artists and bands I have admired over the years, ABBA has always held the most special place in my heart.

Becoming a member of the Official International ABBA Fan Club was a turning point in my life. What might seem like a simple membership card turned out to be an entryway into an entire world. Through the fan club, I discovered opportunities I could never have imagined.
One of the highlights of my journey was being invited to the VIP Premiere Party of ABBA Voyage in London. This was no ordinary event—it was a dream come true. Standing in the same room as all four members of ABBA—Agnetha, Björn, Benny, and Anni-Frid—was something I will never forget. Another unforgettable experience came during the celebrations for the 10th anniversary of ABBA The Museum in Stockholm. The city itself already holds so much history, but that weekend was magical. Two of those fans, Ann-Katrine and Lesley, became especially dear to me. They hold a special place in my heart, because friendships like these are what transform fandom into family.

One of the most emotional moments for me was visiting Skansen and the atelier of Swedish painter Julius Kronberg. This was the very location where the album cover for ABBA’s final studio album, The Visitors, was photographed. To stand there in person, after having stared at that record sleeve thousands of times, was almost overwhelming. It was as if the worlds of imagination and reality suddenly merged.
That is the magic of ABBA. Their music and their images are not just entertainment—they are part of our personal histories. When you visit the places where those histories were created, it feels like stepping into the music itself.
